Pearl Financial Services Pty Ltd was established in 2004. We have equipped hundreds of businesses to increase their cash flow and returns, as well as to enhance their relationships with banks. Pearl Finance has also placed approximately $1.5bn in finance with Australian and international financiers.
Our “reason for being” is to create cash flow and banking excellence in business. We strive to be the best at this and in turn to build a global franchise helping businesses around the world.
Why we are different
Our Cash and Banking Consultants are Bankers. We are not Accountants. We are not Management Consultants. Bankers are experts at 3 things: understanding a business’ ability to produce cash (needed to pay back loans and cover interest), recognising best practice and conversely elements of a business that might cause it to fail, and how banks think and work. To build a Consulting and Debt Advisory (incl Finance Broking) business that makes these skills available to Business clients gives our clients unique insights into how to achieve optimal business and banking performance.
For our Banking Excellence service, our experienced team of bankers will know what your bank is going to say before we ask the question. Our clients take great comfort in this. We are constantly meeting with our old banking colleagues and contacts to ensure that we stay up to date with the latest bank systems, processes, policies, and practices. Our extensive networks developed from years of working in the industry also mean that we know who’s hot and who’s not in the banks too.
Our core values
- Challenge norms
- Honesty and compliance rule
- We have a laugh
- We are leaders
- Never give up!
- Accountants are the hero

Our banking consultants
MBA, B.Bus (Acc), F.Fin, DipFMBM – Managing Director
Nathan Keating is the Managing Director of Pearl Financial Service Pty Ltd. He started his career as an Insolvency Accountant but moved to banking when he realised that he preferred to help businesses grow rather than helping them to shrink and close. He held roles in Australia’s Major Banks, as well as outside of banks operating as a credit consultant enhancing bank risk processes.
In 2008 Nathan joined Pearl with a vision to become a global authority in helping businesses to improve financial performance and become great banking customers. Whilst over 20 years in banking gives Nathan great insight into how banks think and act, the true strength of his experience lies in his ability to recognise the root cause of substandard business performance and to deliver improvement strategies to his clients.
When not working or tending to his beautiful wife and 3 children, Nathan can be found watching, coaching and even occasionally playing Rugby Union.

Today, Alan’s focus is on the implementation of best practices in credit and financial management and he is invited around the world to deliver his insights in this regard. Alan has worked with a wide range companies and banks globally. Banking clients include ANZ, National Australia Bank, Bendigo Bank, Maybank, Bangkok Bank and Royal Bank of Canada. He has also completed in excess of 200 business plans for major public companies and large private enterprises. He is involved in the training of senior management in industry and banks.
In 2000 Alan Miltz was voted best new speaker in Australia for The Executive Connection (a CEO forum), lecturing on Improving Business Performance and Key Business Performance Indicators. Alan has been a keynote speaker at numerous international CEO events focusing on improving business performance.
